Everyone needs a little glitter on their canvas. –James Lott

Glitter is a territorial marker. Don’t believe me? Look at any girl wearing glitter. I can almost guarantee you anything in the room with glitter on it is hers. Well, that’s the case for me anyway. My kid, husband, cat, Jeep, (I could go down the list), perpetually have glitter on them because of me. And I rather like it that way! How else can you know they’re mine at a glance? Point made.

Besides my infatuation with glitter, I also have an unreasonable passion for writing. When I was in high school, I once turned in a story late because it wasn’t good enough yet. And do you know what grade I got? An A+ “because it was so long!”  True story (God rest your soul, Mrs. Verstrate, thank you!).

It’s either my passion for writing or my nerdiness that explains why my name eReeder, (get it eReader??), tickles me pink.

You also probably don’t need to know that I traveled to the ends of the Earth (ok, only to Phoenix and Raleigh, but still) just to come back to my hometown of Grand Rapids, MI. You don’t need to know that, but it might help in understanding why my sister-in-law is more than justified when she calls me random. Scatterbrained much? Not me! As Dorothy would say, there really is no place like home. I am very grateful to be back here. Not only to be in my family and friends’ lives again, but to reestablish my roots and continue what I truly love: writing. With your help, and a little bit of divine intervention, I’m hoping (praying/performing ritual sacrifices) that I can make a living writing. Let the unreasonable passion begin!
